Dr. Martyn Pickersgill, Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow.

The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) has appointed the first members of the Young Academy of Scotland, a new forum intended to stimulate creative ideas and collaborations between talented young individuals in Scotland. The multidisciplinary membership encompasses entrepreneurs, engineers, lawyers and scientists, including Dr Martyn Pickersgill, the Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow in Biomedical Ethics at the University of Edinburgh.

Lord Wilson of Tillyorn, the RSE President said, “All of the people who have been appointed have demonstrated great ability and potential. I have no doubt that there will be many in this group who will go on to make a significant contribution, both within Scotland and internationally in the years ahead”.

Congratulations to all.
